On February 24, Mumbai based builders Acme Group unveiled their future plans. Over next 5-7 years, Acme Groups growth blueprint aims it to be among the biggest developers in western India, developing about 10 million square feet of residential and commercial real estate at Mumbai and also in Gujarat. All future construction will be LEEDS certified. The Company has signed up with Godrej as a sustainability partner. Mumbai will remain as a key area of focus where Acme Group has drawn up plans to be leaders in quality affordable housing, Society redevelopment, slum rehabilitation projects and green-field projects.
Acme has been a quality provider of real estate for nearly 40 years. It has so far developed over 4.5 million sq. ft. at through nearly 100 projects in residential, commercial, retail and industrial real estate. The Company is credited with providing free housing and upgrading over 1500 slum tenements, redeveloping and upgrading approximately 700 MHADASociety members and creating over2400 Rental Housing units underMMRDA scheme.
The Company currently has over Rs. 4000 crores of project inventory through 8 live projects having 4.5 million sq. ft. Acme Group announced multiple initiatives and partnerships as a part of its renewed thrust on CSR activities. Acme Group signed a MOU with a global NGO, Habitat for Humanity to donate a value equivalent to build one toilet for the needy for every apartment that Acme Group sells. Also, it will ‘adopt’ five municipal schools to maintain toilets meant for girl students. Mr. Rajesh Doshi, Director of Acme Group, said, “We have always been conscious of our societal responsibilities. Right from the active participation of Mr. Pravin Doshi in rehabilitating hundreds of families during Latur Earthquake through MCHI CREDAI, we have always responded to any call where we can contribute our expertise or through any other resources.
